In Zipaquirá, 50 kilometers coming out from the northside of Bogotá, is the largest salt mine in Colombia. Although the mines date back to the time of the Muiscas, primitive inhabitants of the region, it has been intensively exploited, and they continue to have enormous reserves. In the heart of the mountain, an underground salt cathedral was dug, constituting a monumental work of engineering, architecture, and design. With a capacity of 10,000 people, it is the most visited tourist attraction in Colombia.

9:00 a.m. We’ll pick you up at your hotel or accommodation place, from there we cross the Cundi-boyacense savanna with its beautiful green landscapes.
10:00 a.m We arrive at the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá, one of the greatest achievements in Colombian architecture, a place to connect with the soul, a place to be inspired.
11:30 a.m. Independence square. There you’ll get to know a little about the history in Colombia and see the day-to-day life of the locals.
11:45 a.m Comunero’s square. Here takes place history, let yourself be marveled by the antiqueness and conservation of one of the oldest spaces in Colombia.
12:00 p.m. Have a typical Colombian lunch at the historic downtown of Zipaquira.
1:00 p.m. Return to your hotel or place of accommodation in Bogotá.
